Westminster Town Hall Forum
Autumn 2008 Season

 

Forums are held from noon to 1:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Nicollet Mall and 12th Street, in downtown Minneapolis. Each forum is preceded by a concert at 11:30am and followed by a reception in the Great Hall and a small group discussion in the Bates Room.

 

Minnesota Public Radio broadcasts the Forum on its News and Information stations. To accommodate the seating need of classes or large groups, please call the Town Hall Forum at 612.332.3421. Convenient parking is available across the street from Westminster at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and at Orchestra Hall ramp, Marquette Avenue and 11th Street.

Nancy Aossey is President of International Medical Corps (IMC), a humanitarian organization providing 4,000 staff and volunteers and $130 million annually for relief and recovery programs around the world. IMC has responded to nearly every global emergency in the last two decades, including the famine in Somalia, the Rwandan genocide, the war in Darfur, the tsunami in southeast Asia, and the cyclone in Myanmar. Building a Movement to Rescue a Nation and Save the Earth

Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer teaches in the Justice and Peace Studies Department at the University of St. Thomas and recently ran as a candidate for the U.S. Senate.  The author of twelve books, he has spent his life addressing the issues of poverty, racism, and war.  He holds a degree in political science from St. Olaf College and a Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in New York.
