God is powerfully moving through the lives of young people and we are so excited to be a part of what God is doing in the lives of the youth and the community. We exist to help youth explore and deepen their faith in such a way that it empowers them to go out to the world sharing the love of Christ and serving those that often are forgotten. We seek to give high school students (9th-12th grade) the opportunity to grow and experience God together in a variety of different ways including mission and service opportunities, large group events, Sunday morning gatherings, and more.

Sunday Mornings
000_0007
Join senior high students on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 in the youth room on the lower level as we dig into the Bible and talk about how it relates to our lives today.
It’s a great opportunity to hang out with friends, meet new people, and take part in a community that is excited about growing together in faith.

Youth also have the opportunity to worship together before or after our Sunday morning programming at 8:30am or 10:30am.

Education Hour has concluded for the 2009-10 program year, but we hope to see you in the fall.

Serve and Lead

Bethphage
 Leadership Retreat- August 27-28
“You’re not doing youth ministry until your youth are doing ministry”. I believe that phrase rings very true. As our senior high ministry continues to change and grow, we are looking for students that are excited to be a part of what is going on at Westminster and are looking for ways to be leaders in the program. There are many different areas for students to lead in. You may be interested in being a student leader in confirmation or in our House Groups. You may be interested in helping plan and lead upcoming events at Westminster. You may want to mentor a younger student that attends Westminster. Wherever your passion lies, we have a space for you. On August 27-28, there will be a senior high leadership retreat for all students that are interested in being leaders in the 2010-11 program year. This overnight will give you the training and encouragement that you need to be a student leader. We will spend some time getting to know one another, find out what our spiritual gifts are and where we can best use those gifts in the church. We of course will also have plenty of time to have fun (Phantom anyone?) and relax a bit. I hope that you may consider this great opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun with some of your peers and leaders. If this is something that you are interested in, please email Erin ASAP.

Upcoming Events saturday-seminar
Helping Teenagers Grow Spiritually
Rather than just keeping kids busy, learn to be intentional about discipleship. Using a model of spiritual growth, this seminar explores the practical applications for helping young people grow in their faith so parents can be purposeful in their family. This session dives into the complicated, messy world of today's adolescents, looks at unique issues in today's world that impact discipleship and identifies the key spiritual needs of adolescents so parents can be intentional about helping teenagers grow spiritually.

Don't miss this FREE seminar on Saturday, October 2nd from 10:00am- 11:30am in the Meisel Room.Click here to register online.

Day at the Fair
The time has come for deep fried food on a stick, rides that make you dizzy, and fun with family and friends. We will be heading out to the State Fair on Sunday, August 29th. We will meet in the youth room after church and then take a shuttle from Dunwoody to the fair grounds. Bring at least $16 for your admission ticket and shuttle ride. Plan on bringing extra money for food, rides, etc. We will be returning to the church by 6:00pm. We are looking for adults to join us so if you are a family that was planning on attending the fair we would love to have you join us. All youth and adults interested should RSVP by Thursday, August 26th.

Attention All College Students and Families!!
We are currently attempting to acquire updated contact information for students away at college. If you are a student or have a student in college, please email Erin the following information: student's name, address, college, mailing address, phone number, and parent’s names.
